Kick It Cancer aims at providing the foundation to promote cancer awareness, leadership, and confidence. We truly love getting the message across to all ages that while cancer is unfortunately without a cure presently, we can make it through together. We provide monthly fundraisers and events, especially on national cancer awareness months and weeks throughout the year. We educate all ages about cancer awareness. For children and teens, we provide educational videos and activities to make all material user-friendly for younger ages to understand the sensitive topic of cancer. For the adults, we provide statistics and healthy tips to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Unfortunately, there is no exact guideline to follow to prevent cancer, but we ensure that we effectively communicate with others on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle to the best of their ability. So, how are we helping the lives of cancer patients worldwide? We are glad you asked. Kick It Cancer partners as the New Jersey Ambassador for the American Cancer Society and the American Lung Association. While some of the proceeds for events may be donated to cancer research funds, the money donated is always helping by.... - Funding for transportation so cancer patients can easily go to chemotherapy and doctor's appointments (combined effort to provide nearly 200,000 rides!) - Helping to provide visual multimedia educational activities and videos for children in public and private schools to gain more knowledge about cancer and how to maintain a healthy lifestyle - Going toward new technology and research equipment so scientists and professionals can hopefully formulate a cure for cancer - Providing detection and treatment services for individuals - Providing free lodging for nearly 30,000 cancer patients traveling away from home for treatment |
