Thank you
Thank you to all of the volunteers, nonprofit business leaders, and key people who have helped transformed this organization into a collaborative effort to spark a change |
For the past six years, Kick It Cancer has grown tremendously and it would not have been possible without the help of you. In July, we attained our goal- not only have we been promoting cancer awareness, leadership, and confidence for years, but we were able to achieve more funding for pediatric cancer; a bill that was passed through the New Jersey State Legislature and approved by Senators Joseph Pennacchio and Cory Booker.
All of the fundraisers, events, presentations, and affiliate gatherings throughout the years have all led up to not only making a positive change toward cancer, but allowing others to become involved with our nonprofit. Over $25,000 later, this organization has been able to make a difference in the lives of cancer patients by allowing them to have transportation services to chemotherapy, treatment, and research. Working with global nonprofit organizations such as the American Cancer Society, American Lung Association, American Childhood Cancer Organization, and the National Cancer Institute to name a few were all rewarding experiences in which I have gained new knowledge and connections. However, the most rewarding aspect during my Kick It Cancer journey thus far was having opportunities to connect younger audiences. Enforcing leadership and confidence as well inspired others to kickstart something unique to them from small-scale fundraisers to nonprofit organizations. Speaking firsthand with child and teenage audiences will always be considered one of the most memorable experiences throughout my experience. There will not be an end to the continuous promotion of cancer awareness, leadership, and confidence in the future. There are several exciting opportunities and partnerships for Kick It Cancer in the future. No achievement would have been possible without the motivation to spark a change, and I am honored to have had the opportunity to generate increased funding for pediatric cancer- an excellent way to leave a long-lasting footprint.
