2017 is the year Kick It Cancer will implement cancer research and advocacy on a larger scale by partnering with other global nonprofit industries and Congress. Our publication in Step Up Magazine, passage of pediatric cancer funding laws, and visiting educational institutions to promote cancer awareness, leadership, and confidence are some accomplishments Kick It Cancer will be affiliated with.

November 2016: Finish the Fight Project During the month of November, Kick It Cancer partnered with the American Lung Association on an original campaign to promote lung cancer awareness, prevention, research, fundraising, and involvement to teenagers in communities. This expo included a guest speaker from the American Lung Association to speak to the Cancer Awareness Society at Manalapan High School. Check the homepage for more!
October 2016: #IDriveFor Chevrolet Campaign: Kick It Cancer partnered with American Cancer Society and Chevrolet to raise funds for transportation, research, and affiliated services regarding breast cancer awareness for American Cancer Society. For every retweet on Twitter, $5 was donated. This was one of our most successful fundraisers yet! See the homepage for details!

July 2016-September 2016: Childhood Cancer Funding Kick It Cancer is currently in the process of advocating for increased funding regarding childhood cancer and affiliated healthcare. As the National Cancer Institute is lacking sufficient funding, it is imperative that a change is brought to the attention of the New Jersey State Legislature to gain representation for this imperative issue. Our organization gained representation from the New Jersey State Legislature to provide more funding for pediatric cancer.
June 2016: #ChildrenChat Heroes Day Kick It Cancer had the best time representing the Miss America Organization and launching our original poem, "Reaching the Goal", educating our youth about cancer awareness, leadership, and confidence! The Relay for Life event with the American Cancer Society was honored as well as Future Speakers Society to students in kindergarten to fifth grade. Thank you Milford Brook Elementary School for becoming involved with Kick It Cancer to generate a large impact!

Princess Tea Party Children's Miracle Network Fundraiser
Kick It Cancer partnered with the Miss America Organization to be involved with a Princess Tea Party while raising awareness for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Implementing confidence to young girls on how to shine like a princess, it was a fun-filled day with princess fun! Visit the home page for photos!

Lung Force Walk and Fundraiser
Kick It Cancer had the privilege of planning the New Jersey Lung Force walk as an official ambassador for the American Lung Association. Nonsmoking and health awareness were implemented to all ages at a collaborative effort to end lung cancer one person at a time.
April-May 2016: "Reaching the Goal" Publication Kick It Cancer was honored to have the opportunity to publish the original poem "Reaching the Goal" which is aimed at educating our youth about cancer awareness, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and leading a team. This publication will be recognized at the upcoming #ChildrenChat event along with a "Heroes" leadership assembly in June, which will foster the understanding of cancer awareness, leadership, and confidence on a larger scale to younger audiences!
March 2016: IHOP #NationalPancakeDay Event It was great to partner with IHOP and the Children's Miracle Network for #NationalPankcakeDay to represent the Miss America Organization! All of the proceeds support children's hospitals, medical research for children worldwide. A big thank you to the IHOP staff for being so welcoming and fun to work with!

February 2016: Go Red for Women Fundraiser Kick It Cancer partnered with the American Heart Association to promote healthy living and cardiac cancer. Affiliates at Manalapan Township wore red and denim to show their support. It was an honor to honor and speak at the American Heart Association's #HeartChat to talk about women's cardiovascular health and our organization's accomplishments!

January 2016: Confidence Campaign Kick It Cancer implemented our confidence campaign by creating motivational quotes to inspire teenagers to be positive and to aim high while maintaining a balanced self-esteem. Teenagers were encouraged to wear yellow and to compliment others at least once a day. This was a great campaign to spread awareness of confidence building!
December 2015:
Manalapan Makes a Miracle Fundraiser Kick It Cancer hosted our "Manalapan Makes a Miracle" Fundraiser at Manalapan Township. Township administrators wore yellow and red to support our fundraiser, and all of the proceeds were donated directly to the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. A special thank you to Manalapan Township and Mayor McNaboe for making this event possible! This event was held on December 18.

Future Speakers Society Leadership Workshop It was an honor to host "Future Speakers Society" to the Future Business Leaders of America Organization at Manalapan High School! Future Speakers Society are leadership workshops which strengthen leadership, public speaking, and confidence skills. Kick It Cancer had the privilege to speak to teens about becoming involved in school and community environments. Future Speakers Society hit an audience of over-achieving students who started school programs. This workshop was a success!

National Lee Denim Day Fundraiser National Lee Denim Day is a global movement in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness to raise funds for breast cancer patients to have better treatment options! We hosted our spirit day at Manalapan High School to promote National Lee Denim Day where students and faculty members will continue to wear pink every Wednesday in October to show their support! Faculty members are paying $5 to wear pink and denim, and the proceeds will be donated to Susan G. Komen. This event was held on October 2.

"I am Healthy" Trunk or Treat Event On October 30, 2015, Kick It Cancer hosted our own "I am Healthy" campaign at Avalon's Trunk or Treat Event for Halloween. We implemented cancer awareness and maintaining a healthy lifestyle by distributing non-candy treats and asking children to name reasons why they are healthy (ex: dancing, eating fruit), which they wrote on a paper pumpkin and placed on the "I am Healthy" board. This event was a great way to spread awareness to children!
September 2015: Miracle Challenge Kick It Cancer partnered with the Children's Miracle Network and Miracle Challenge to bring to you our very own "Healthy Tips" Challenge in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Healthy tips and preventative methods against cancer were posted via Twitter and was a great campaign to implement cancer awareness!
June 2015: Relay for Life Our Relay for Life event was on June 13-14, 2015 and KickItCancer had the honor of planning the New Jersey Event! It was a great event to educate about cancer research and how people can make a difference in their everyday lives. For more information, visit our "Relay for Life" tab.
May 2015: T.G.i Friday's Leadership Fundraiser On May 14, 2015, Kick It Cancer hosted a fundraiser at T.G.i. Friday's Restaurant in Morganville, New Jersey and 20% of the customer's bill was donated to the Manalapan SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) chapter to promote leadership! It was a great event, and implemented leadership strategies to customers, and enabled a community effort to be a part of a Kick It Cancer event.

April 2015: Kick It Cancer CMN Lollipop Fundraiser Kick It Cancer hosted a lollipop fundraiser for the Children's Miracle Network and the Miss America's Outstanding Teen Organization. Chocolate lollipops were sold for $2 each at Manalapan High School, and in two days, the goal of $100 was surpassed.

April 2015: What a Leader Means Kick It Cancer organized an original campaign to promote leadership! Peers and students were asked what their future aspirations were and what their perception of a leader is. Teens learned that although people have many different views regarding leadership, leadership is all about being yourself and being able to work as a team! Leadership was spread throughout Monmouth County.
March 2015: FBLA Leadership Fundraiser A Future Business Leaders of America fundraiser was hosted to raise money for business events in the future, as well as to promote leadership within the Manalapan community. Bags of popcorn from the company "Poppin' Popcorn" were sold.

February 2015: #MakeItHappy Campaign Kick It Cancer partnered with DoSomething.org and Coca-Cola to promote awareness for positivity and cyber-bullying. Almost half of young people have seen or experienced online harassment, which can seriously impact self-esteem. To raise awareness, during the Super Bowl 49, people globally sent their selfies on Instagram and Twitter with the hashtag: #MakeItHappy. Over 23,000 people were involved in only an hour that the campaign began and this was Kick It Cancer's most successful event!
January-February 2015: Hope Fundraiser Kick It Cancer hosted a "Hope" fundraiser in collaboration with the American Cancer Society and Relay for Life! Donations for cancer research were collected and the proceeds were used to help fund equipment and materials for cancer research, as well as to raise money for services for cancer patients globally! Our fundraiser helped raise $28, 607 for the state of New Jersey.

The Hunt The Hunt was a campaign partnered with DoSomething to implement community involvement and medical research.
The Hunt Part 2 Creating "Patient Playbooks" for children in hospitals. I created word finds for Alex's Lemonade which they loved! It was great to help out children who were in hospitals and to bring them so much joy!
March 2014: March Madness Basketball Game The March Madness Basketball Game was held at Manalapan Englishtown Middle School on March 6, 2014. Students paid four dollars per ticket, and a concession stand was organized outside of the gymnasium. Proceeds were donated to the American Cancer Society.

February 2014: Make A Wish Fundraiser This fundraiser was organized to help children in need. This fundraiser was worked on with my student council committee. Our goal was to grant half of a wish for a child in need. Raffles were set up during lunches at Manalapan Englishtown Middle School where students were to pay two dollars to enter to win different themed baskets such as a movie basket, arts & crafts basket, and . All proceeds went to the Make A Wish Foundation. Our goal was reached, and half of a wish was granted to a child in need.

November 2013: Susan G. Komen Fundraiser This fundraiser was organized to raise money for breast cancer awareness. Pink ribbons were sold at school lunches and outside of school where donators were allowed to write the name of a person they knew that was battling cancer. Bracelets and pins with the pink ribbon logo were also sold. Ribbons were taped on the walls of Manalapan Englishtown Middle School. All proceeds went to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

October 2013: Kick It Cancer Spirit Week in Schools! Kick It Cancer hosted its very first spirit week called "Colors for Cancer" in schools in New Jersey! Students wore a different color for each day of the week to promote cancer research by wearing white in honor of lung cancer, pink in honor of breast cancer, yellow in honor of childhood cancer, purple in honor of lymphoma, and orange/tan in honor of skin cancer. Students had tons of fun by abiding to Kick It Cancer's spirit days because they were able to become involved!
November 2011: Pennies for Patients This fundraiser was organized to raise money for cancer research. Students donated pennies that were stored in jars at Pine Brook School. All proceeds went to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

April 2010: Alex's Lemonade Stand Fundraiser This fundraiser was organized in my community to raise money for cancer research. Lemonade was being sold in Manalapan, New Jersey to residents. All proceeds went to Alex's Lemonade Stand.

This event was at the Colombian Club of Old Bridge, New Jersey on March 20, 2011. Participants were charged twenty dollars for admission where there was a "Saturday Night Fever" disco themed fundraiser. Raffle baskets were arranged, and several people attended to support a great cause.
- Friendly's Fundraiser This fundraiser was worked on with my sister to raise money for cancer research. The event was at Friendly's Restaurant in Freehold, New Jersey on March 16, 2011. Fifteen percent of customers' bills were donated to the Children's Miracle Network. Arts & Crafts were also set up for children at the restaurant.
